2. DEVELOPMENT  MOMENT - MOMENTO DE DESARROLLO 

Past simple 

 

Hay muchas maneras de hablar del pasado en inglés, pero el pasado simple es la forma más común. El pasado simple en inglés es equivalente al pretérito imperfecto y pretérito indefinido del español. Usamos el pasado simple para acciones completas en el pasado. El período de tiempo de estas acciones no es importante como en el español. En el pasado simple hay verbos regulares y verbos irregulares.

 

Syntax (POSITIVE FORM):

I, you, he, she, it, we, you, they + VERB (PAST FORM) + Complement

ESTO QUIERE DECIR QUE PARA TODAS LAS PERSONAS HAY UNA SOLO CONJUGACION . Lo único que hay que aprender es a formar esta conjugación. Esto depende si es REGULAR o IRREGULAR verb.

 

The verb in the past simple form can be REGULAR or IRREGULAR

 

Regular Verbs:

To from the irregular from we need to add “ed” to the infinitive form.

For example:

 

to watch -> watched | to talk -> talked | to wash -> washed

 

 

Affirmative Sentences 

Sujeto + verbo principal + complement

Ejemplos:

            She was a docto*.(Era doctora.)

            The keys were in the drawer.(Las llaves estaban en el cajón.)
